About the Job

NXP's Women in Tech (WIT) program is a year-long specialized training program designed for selected women engineering students in India. The program focuses on semiconductor design and helps participants build technical skills through online classes led by industry experts.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The program is open to women engineering students currently pursuing their 3rd semester.
  • Students must be pursuing B.E., B.Tech., or a Dual Degree (B.E./B.Tech. + M.E./M.Tech.).
  • The college or university must be approved by UGC/AICTE in India.
  • For B.E./B.Tech. students, the eligible academic year is 2025-2029.
  • For Dual Degree B.E./B.Tech. + M.E./M.Tech. students, the eligible academic year is 2025-2030.
  • Students from electronics, computer science, and other related engineering courses are eligible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in online technical classes conducted by industry experts.
  • Build practical and theoretical knowledge related to semiconductor design.
  • Learn concepts covering SoC architecture, digital design, analog design, design flow, and design architecture.
  • Develop knowledge of RISC-V and ARM architectures.
  • Learn the fundamentals of verification, emulation, DFT, synthesis, timing constraints, placement, routing, CTS, and validation.
  • Develop programming knowledge through C, OOPs, Verilog, SystemVerilog, and Python scripting.
  • Gain practical exposure to embedded software using the NXP FRDM Development Board.
  • Work on mini and major projects involving frontend and/or backend development.
  • Participate in the program's learning, assessment, and interview processes.
  • Engage with silicon technology mentors and build a professional network within the technology ecosystem.
