About the Job

Sanas is hiring Software Engineering Interns – SI & Agentic AI Platform for its Engineering team. This is a 4-month onsite internship based in Bengaluru, offering students the opportunity to work on cutting-edge Speech AI products that power real-time accent translation, speech enhancement, and AI-driven communication solutions. Interns will collaborate with experienced engineers while contributing to production-ready software and AI platforms.

During the internship, you'll work on the Speech Intelligence platform, build scalable backend services, develop APIs, debug production systems, and contribute to AI-powered features. Interns receive mentorship from experienced engineers, own projects from design to deployment, gain exposure to real production environments, and strengthen their software engineering skills while working with modern technologies such as Python, Go, TypeScript, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and AI products.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, or TypeScript/React.
  • Good understanding of APIs, data structures, algorithms, and debugging.
  • Curiosity and interest in distributed systems, AI products, machine learning platforms, or data-intensive backend systems.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation, pull requests (PRs), tickets, and communicate effectively with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain software features for the Speech Intelligence (SI) Platform and Agentic AI products using modern programming languages and development frameworks.
  • Build scalable backend services, APIs, and platform components while ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to understand system architecture and contribute to real production features.
  • Debug software issues, investigate production incidents, analyze system metrics, and implement effective solutions to improve platform reliability.
  • Take ownership of assigned engineering tasks from design and implementation to testing, code review, and deployment.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while following engineering best practices and contributing technical documentation.
  • Work with AI-powered applications, distributed systems, cloud services, and data-intensive backend components to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Participate in mentorship sessions, technical discussions, architecture reviews, and continuous learning while enhancing software engineering and AI development skills.
